Joan Wells

July 5, 1956 - June 10, 2006

Joan Wells Shafer 49, wife to William R. Shafer Jr., died of sudden heart failure on Saturday morning, June 10, 2006 at her home in Midland, Virginia.

Joan, who was born in Framingham, Massachusetts, moved to Arlington, VA, where she attended Wakefield High School, graduate of 1974, and the theatrical school in New York.

After living in Arlington for more than 25 years, in 2004, Joan moved with her husband Bill, to Midland, VA.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, William R. Shafer Jr.; three Brothers, Louis Wells, Christopher Wells and Anthony Wells; one sister Kate Wells Blackwell and her mother and father, Suzanne Cassels Wells and Gilbert Leo Wells. She was loved and will be missed dearly by all. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, William R.
